I’ve been thinking about Hugh Howey and other people like him who have their fans send them so much love and promote them like crazy.

This hasn’t been my experience.

Then it got me questioning — maybe everyone doesn’t have that path?  Maybe some of us, during this lifetime on Earth, maybe we have to learn to toot OUR OWN HORN?

Maybe it’s not for us to look towards others EVER to toot our own horn.

Maybe it’s not for us to look towards others EVER to make us feel good.

Maybe it’s not for us to look towards others to EVER define who we are.

Maybe this is – in this lifetime – for us to do it ourselves.

Maybe in the past – past lifetimes – we were labelled by others.

Maybe in past lifetimes others told us what our gifts were.

Maybe in past lifetimes others put us in a box.

Confined us.

Defined us.

Maybe in this lifetime it’s for us to say who we are.

And only us to put a label on it.

ONLY US.

When I look at it like this, I am more than happy to use my LOUD VOICE and my PASSIONATE NATURE to tell everyone in the world WHO I AM.

I’m tooting my own horn.

I don’t need them to tell me who I am, to promote me, to do anything for me.  I am perfectly capable and happy to do this for myself.

Yes!

And thank you!

I can see clearly now… 🙂
